Across the four cohort communities, with very different socio-cultural contexts, these photos show the different, yet also parallel aspects of lived environments that are relevant to participants lives. From the concrete jungles in Rotterdam, to the farmland outside Bristol, to the beaches of Porto, to the urban-to-rural transitions of Pelotas, parallel issues of traffic, rubbish, construction and memories of what used to be in the places they live are shared.  For some, lived environments are depicted within walls, or in looking outside of them, framing moments and exploring what it is to feel (or not feel) at home. For others the lived environment is characterised by routine journeys by car, bus and train from one place to another that shape their sense of place.
